Okanagan Wine Tours & Tastings.
The Okanagan Valley is now so famous for its spectacular vineyards and wineries, which regularly win international wine competitions, Okanagan has become known as the Napa of the North. There are few wine regions in the world that compare to the Okanagan's combination of lakes, mountains, sun and variety of grapes. Multiple Okanagan Lake microclimates mean wineries can grow more than 60 varietals of grapes and offer plenty of new discoveries during Okanagan wine tours and tastings.
Mission Hill Winery.
The Okanagan wine estate chardonnay put this winery on the map when it was named the world's best chardonnay in a blind taste test at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in London in the mid-1990s. Travel & Leisure named the on-site restaurant one of world's top five winery restaurants. The grounds and interior match the quality of the wines, with a rose garden, 12-foot bell tower and tasting room featuring a Marc Chagall tapestry, www.missionhillwinery.com.

Quails Gate Winery.
One of the oldest wineries in the Okanagan Valley is also among the prettiest, with mountain and lake views and an old homestead cottage. Try Quails Gate specialty wine Pinot Noir, with midnight shades and smokey and chocolaty flavors. The winery's restaurant, the Old Vine is also one of the Okanagan Valley's best, www.quailsgate.com.
Tantalus Winery.
All the wines at this Okanagan Valley winery are organic. Sample old world Rieslings and butterscotchy ice wine on this winery on the slopes of Okanagan Lake. It's not uncommon to see moose wandering the vineyards, www.tantalus.ca.

Cedar Creek Winery.
This orchard turned vineyard has twice been named winery of the year at the annual Canadian Wine Awards. Sample plumey, cherry and chocolaty merlots or an apricot Ehrenfelser in a Mediterranean-like villa, www.cedarcreek.bc.ca.
